CD PRESS RELEASE

The Ventura/Ojai-area-based Americana band, The Tatters, will soon release their debut CD on Knottygirl Records. Two performances are scheduled for Sunday, November 5, at 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at The Livery Theatre at 34 N. Palm Street in historical downtown Ventura. Ticket pre-sales have now begun at Book Mall of Ventura and Record Outlet Ventura. $15 includes the show and a CD. $7 is the price of admission only.
Executive Producer, Randall Richman, made this recording possible. The project was produced by Mark Insley and co-produced by The Tatters and Randall Richman. The engineer on the project was Paul du Gré, who has engineered a multitude of projects including: Dave Alvin, Lucinda Williams, Big Sandy, a live Big Bad Voodoo Daddy performance, Julie Christensen, Rosie Flores, and more.
The recording is currently receiving critical acclaim. The goal on this project was to record live with as few overdubs as possible. Vintage equipment helped to give the recording the old time radio sound that was sought after.
With the exception of one public domain song, the recordings are original compositions. The music covers a broad range of styles, including: Hawaiian Swing, Bluegrass, Calypso, Folk Rock, Western Swing, Bolero, 40s-style Swing, Cowboy Yodeling, and an a cappella song. The music has a cross-generation appeal with a fun-loving audience.
Members of the group are veteran Ventura musicians and acoustic music supporters, including: Mary Z. Wilson, Jennie Snyder, Erika Harding, Billy Flores, Jack Joshua, and Danny Wilson. Join in on the fun. You will enjoy it.

And if you like the Tatters CD, you'll love the CDs from our friends!!
