Dan Wilson, a native son of Ventura, California, has a lifetime of musical experiences and adventures that have created his unique approach to every style of music that he plays. Highly regarded as an intuitive multi-instrumentalist with a rhythmic flare, Dan is an accomplished bassist, guitarist, and mandolin player. His roots are a diverse melting pot of bluegrass, newgrass, folk, rock, rhythm and blues, and open tuning styles.

Recordings released that Dan has been involved with include: Grammy-nominated Woody Guthrie & Arlo Guthrie (This Land is Your Land), Brush Arbor (I Will Follow), Rincon Ramblers (Green Rolling Hills of La Conchita), Jimmy Adams & Friends (There Comes A Time & Live at Cafe Voltaire), Live at Café Voltaire (Volume One & Volume Two), Jonathan McEuen (Sampolin 14), David West (Arcane), J. Peter Boles, and Left of Memphis (Left of Memphis).

Over the years he has played with several Nashville musicians, including: Pat Flynn (New Grass Revival), Pat McGrath (Dolly Parton), Martin Young (Clint Black), and John McEuen. The gold coast of California has afforded a wealth of musical opportunities to play with the Rincon Ramblers (Alan Thornhill, Jon Wilcox, Phil Salazar, and Bill Flores), Bud Bierhaus (Copperline), Kate Wolf, Danny Wheetman (John Denver, Marley's Ghost), Jonathan McEuen, Big Mama Thornton, Chris Hillman (Desert Rose Band, the Byrds, The Flying Burrito Brothers), Jim Monahan (Desert Rose Band), Pat Flynn (Newgrass Revival), Lee Rollag (Roger Miller), Jim Christie (Dwight Yoakam), David West, Cyrus Clarke, Bill Griffin (Cache Valley Drifters), Tom Ball & Kenny Sultan, Brantley Kearns, Pat Cloud, Frank Reckard (Emmylou Harris), Rick Shea (Dave Alvin), Frank Fuchs, and Arlo Guthrie.
